With over a decade of experience in financial journalism with major news publications, I specialise in spotting data trends, breaking news, and investigative reporting. I often combine my data literacy and visualisation skills to tell a story. I have experience using R for data sourcing, web scraping, cleaning, and analysis. I've worked extensively with spreadsheets, and created visualisations with Datawrapper and Flourish. I have also mastered the art of scooping out data.

EU’s plastic waste exports to developing world see first increase in nearly a decade

Using R, I imported, cleaned, analysed, and visualised Eurostat’s latest trade waste data to create this short visual story for City University of London. The data revealed how the European Union's plastic waste exports to lower-income countries significantly increased for the first time in eight years.
